It is believed that baby buggies first showed up in Spain in the early 1400's. It is unclear whether they were invented by the Spanish or were imported from Sweden. The Spanish give credit for their invention to Franco Dela Purvhouleay. Today, one can find baby buggies throughout the country, in a variety of colors, including red, yellow, pink, purple, violet, brown, scarlet, green, orange, and black. There are three wheel and four wheel baby buggy models, and well as electric and gas powered versions. It is estimated that well over 20% of Spaniards have baby buggies or know someone with a buggy. Baby buggies are used mostly in the spring for newborns and in the fall for toddlers, though it varies depending on what part of the country on is in. The primary manufacturer of baby buggies in Spain is the Aardvark Baby Buggy (ABB) company located outside of Madrid, which employees roughly 1,200 people and produces 40% of the baby buggies sold in Spain. ~ source: whywouldyoubelievethis[dot]com/madeup-stuff-about-spanish-baby-buggies
